๐ก Tips for Making Great Videos
- Good lighting โ Film near a window or use a desk lamp. Natural light makes everything look better.
- Clear audio โ Speak clearly and avoid background noise. Earbuds with a mic work great.
- Strong title โ Be specific. "How I Built a Robot Dog in 3 Hours" beats "My Cool Project."
- Right category โ Pick the category that fits best so viewers can find your content.
- Age rating โ Be honest about what age group your video is for.
- Keep it focused โ Shorter, focused videos often perform better than long, wandering ones.
- Be yourself โ Authenticity resonates. You don't need to act like a YouTuber.
- No personal info โ Never share your school name, address, phone number, or full name in videos.

๐ต Music, Copyright & Fair Use
- Use royalty-free music โ Sites like Pixabay, Uppbeat, or YouTube Audio Library offer free-to-use tracks
- Original music is great โ If you play an instrument or sing, feature your own work!
- No full songs or movies โ Don't upload content you didn't create or don't have permission to use
- Short clips for education โ Brief clips used for critique, commentary, or teaching may qualify as fair use, but when in doubt, leave it out
- Give credit โ If you use someone else's work (with permission), credit them in your description
๐ช A Note for Parents
We built CleanStream because we didn't feel safe letting our own kids browse other video platforms. Here's what makes us different:
- You approve every video your child uploads โ before anyone else sees it
- No comments section โ only curated positive reactions (UpTicks)
- No ads, no tracking โ your child's attention isn't being sold
- No recommendation algorithms โ kids explore by category, not by rabbit hole
- Full COPPA compliance โ you can review, delete, or revoke access at any time
