CleanStream ("we", "us", or "our") operates a safe, moderated video platform for families. Protecting the privacy of our users, especially children, is our highest priority. This policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your information.

2. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)

CleanStream complies fully with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Because our platform is intended for families and children under 13:

• No Account Without Consent: We do not allow any user under the age of 18 to create an active account without verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian.
• Parental Dashboard: Parents receive an email to activate their child's account and have the right to review, delete, or manage their child's account and videos at any time.
• Data Minimization: We only collect the information reasonably necessary for a child to use CleanStream (e.g., username, password, parent's email address).

3. Information We Collect

We collect the following personal information:

• Account Details: First name, username, date of birth, and email address. For children, we collect the parent or guardian's email address.
• Content: Videos uploaded to the platform. All videos are privately staged and human-reviewed before becoming visible.
• Usage Data: Basic technical logs necessary to run and secure the platform. We do NOT use tracking cookies or algorithms.

4. How We Use Your Information

Information is used strictly to provide a safe viewing and creating experience:

• To verify parental consent.
• To human-review uploaded content for safety guidelines.
• To provide customer support and platform announcements.

5. We Do Not Sell Your Data

CleanStream is entirely ad-free. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We do not use user data to train third-party AI models without explicit opt-in, and we never use children's data for this purpose.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption to protect your data during transit and at rest. Videos are stored securely on Cloudflare R2, and database records are secured via Supabase Row Level Security (RLS) to ensure users can only access their own authorized content.
